Daniel Dias Callahan is a writer from Sacramento, California who still loves to read picture books. He received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of San Francisco and his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of San Diego. He currently resides in San Francisco.
His work has appeared in the California Quarterly, Sonora Review, and Thin Air Magazine among others. He is working towards publishing his first poetry manuscript as well as a short story collection.
He is a former teaching fellow at the University of San Francisco where he taught Introduction to Creative Writing for non-English majors. He also served as poetry editor for Invisible City. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, taking photographs, and adding books to his to-get-to pile. Some of his favorite writers include W.G. Sebald, Jenny Erpenbeck, and giovanni singleton.
